What is cicada.run?

Getting a list of voters to contact normally takes a sales call, a contract, and a few weeks of waiting. For most first-time candidates it never arrives at all.

cicada.run turns that into a selection on a map. You draw the area you're running in, and you get verified contacts inside it: names, addresses, phone numbers, and emails. Then you organize them, hand them to your volunteers, and log what happens at the door.

What you can do here

• Draw your turf. Select any district, precinct, or neighborhood on the map, or build an area from a walking, driving, or cycling time.

• Pull verified contacts. Discover the people inside a turf, and fill in missing phone numbers and emails on contacts you already have.

• Split turf into lists. Break an area into as many lists as you have canvassers, with a cap on how many doors each one gets.

• Canvass with a code. Each list gets a five-digit code and a QR code. Volunteers open the canvassing app, type the code, and see their doors on a map.

• Log every interaction. Calls, texts, emails, meetings, and canvasses, with outcomes and pledge amounts, all on the contact record.

Who it's for

Campaigns at every level of the ballot, from city council to statewide, plus county parties and organizations that need to reach people in a specific place. There's no approval process and no gatekeeper: if you're running, you can sign up and start drawing.

What it costs

Your first election has no subscription and no setup fee. You pay only for the contacts you pull, through Contact Credits. After your first race, plans start at $450 per month.
